INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

One-Year Resident
Internship Program

The Crosswinds Resident Internship Program offers three dynamic components:

Ministry Experience, Leadership Development, Spiritual Formation

These are the areas in which a resident may serve at Crosswinds.

Crosswinds’ Resident
Internship Program

is a one year, post-college leadership training program for those pursuing vocational church ministry.

Our internship provides personal mentoring, leadership development, and hands-on experience working alongside Crosswinds’ staff.

Being a resident at Crosswinds provides a setting to focus on integrating the theory of your education with concrete opportunities to lead, allowing you to experience church life and gain valuable work experience.

Through hard work and coaching relationships, you will have the chance to grow in character, wisdom, and servant leadership.

MINISTRY EXPERIENCE

Ministry Experience is a crucial component of Crosswinds’ Resident Internship Program. By providing practical hands-on ministry experience, we seek to help grow the leadership and ministry capacity of each resident.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

In addition to the “in-the-moment coaching” that comes with Ministry Experience, residents will meet one-on-one with their Ministry Leader twice a month to further discuss their ministry. Residents will also have the daily opportunity to interact with all of Crosswinds’ ministry staff as they participate on the team.

This personalized coaching will help each resident gain experience in a variety of areas including staff dynamics, project management, administrative experience, and setting and achieving goals. Residents will learn how they can help to enhance and grow the ministry they serve in as they reach, raise and release the lost for Christ, learn how to recruit and develop ministry partners and teams, and more!

SPIRITUAL FORMATION

This component of Crosswinds’ Resident Internship Program focuses on Spiritual Formation through cultivating an abiding, growing relationship with Christ in order to become more like Him – this is a high priority of ours! Residents will be placed in a one-on-one discipleship pairing to help them grow in their faith.

EXPERIENCE AND REFERENCES

In today’s job market, many employers are seeking candidates with education and experience. As a resident, working within a staff builds into your future by contributing to your work history, broadening your network, and providing credible references to potential future employers.

“Getting the opportunity to work alongside of the student staff as a resident intern at Crosswinds has proven invaluable to where I am today in ministry. The ministry experience, alongside of the personal care, was life changing.”
– Brian
