Welcome!
Crosswinds is church for the whole family. Kids are welcomed no matter where they are at in their spiritual journey. They are surrounded by those who are committed to encourage and equip them take their next young step in their relationship with God and others. We strongly encourage family partnership with weekly take homes, events, classes and more.
Sunday Mornings | 9:00 & 11:00am
While parents are worshipping in the adult worship service, children worship in our kid-friendly and age specific service and spaces; children 8-weeks old through 5th grade.
Your first visit
From the moment you park your car, we want you to feel welcomed, comfortable and informed while with us. For the best first experience, enter our campus through the Kids Ministry entrance. This is found by entering our second driveway (if coming from 5&20). Go ahead and park in what we call Parking Lot C and enter through the main set of doors off that lot. You should be greeted warmly by a friendly face and then taken to our hub where a welcome team member can get your family registered, answer questions and show you around the place!
Our Environments
While parents/guardians participate in weekend worship services in our Ministry Center, kids have a blast in their own age-appropriate teaching, worship and small group experiences. This all happens in our kid-friendly environments.
chickadees (8 weeks to 2 years)
Your precious little ones have a desire to be nurtured and loved by those they trust. In this stage of life, we love the opportunity to partner alongside you in helping nurture your child’s first impression of our Heavenly Father.
lambs (twos and threes)
Your little ones are still little, they now desire some autonomy, choices, boundaries and even show empathy! We leverage the power of crafts, story, song and play in this stage to continue to impress the significance of God and His Word.
cubs (preschool-threes)
They are growing up so fast and have such wonderful imaginations. In this stage, your kids are beginning to notice the social aspect of the church. They now learn together as a group through Bible story, singing, crafting and play.
otters (preschool-fours)
At this stage of life your kids are doing great things like sharing and taking turns. They can also understand people’s feelings and obey rules. We continue to teach about God in song, creative Bible lessons, small groups and scripture memory.
kindergarten – 2nd grade
In this stage of life, kids are becoming self-aware, establishing meaningful relationships, developing skills and managing responsibility. With all these new changes in their life, we want to help them see that God is there with them!
3rd – 5th grade
This stage can be difficult as kids are growing in independence, individuality and establishing their own beliefs and values. Through small groups and strong peer relationships, we continue to advocate Jesus’ Way as the best way.
How Check-In Works Week-to-Week
Before Service: Our volunteers will help you check your families in. As the parent/guardian, you and your children will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your current visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will text you via the phone number you share with us in our database. We ask that you exit the ministry center immediately and return back to the kids ministry environment where a staff member or volunteer will direct you to your child’s location.
