CROSSWINDS KIDS

Uptown Parents/Kids Downloads

Welcome!

Uptown is the place where children discover Christ’s love for them at Crosswinds. Each Sunday it’s our desire to show kids how they fit into God’s big story and encourage them to change the world by living out the character of Christ. We strongly encourage family participation with at-home activities to help continue the lessons that are taught on Sundays all week long.

Weekends

Uptown services take place during our Sunday services, and are designed for children 8 weeks through 5th Grade. While parents are participating in the adult worship service in “Big Church,” children participate in kid-friendly services in Uptown. Each child from preschool – 5th grade will have a large group & small group experience every weekend.

Large group time consists of interactive worship, a Bible story told by engaging storytellers & comic hosts, and prayer time.

Small group time is led by individual small group leaders for each age group.  This time is for digging deeper into the lesson through activities and games, while encouraging relationship building with friends and leaders.

Your first visit

Here’s what to expect when visiting Uptown Kids for the first time:

First, find the area marked for first-time families. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and help your child to their age-appropriate room.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for some personal information including parent/guardian name(s), your child’s name and birth date, your address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children. We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone. If you’d like to learn more about Crosswinds, click the button below.

How check-in works

Before Service: Our volunteers will help you check in your child. After finding your information in our database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear on the screen. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

Summer Serve

Each summer we take a break from our typical schedule and switch things up. Our kids (Preschool-5th Grade) stay in “Big Church” with the adults for worship and are dismissed before the message. This change allows our hard-working ministry partners to have a well-deserved break, and it allows our kids to worship with their families. It also means that we need your help to step in and fill a spot serving in our kids ministry for the summer. You can sign up for one service, or multiple services. There are several weekends over the summer that need adult volunteers to help, so click the button below and sign up for whatever weekend services you’d like.

Family Experience

The first Sunday of each month (October – June), following each of our regular Sunday morning services at 10:15am & 12:15pm, parents are invited to bring their Preschool-5th Grade children to the FamX Theater (3-5 room)! As part of the FamX service, families will worship, pray and hopefully grow closer to God together. Attending FamX is a great opportunity for your family to partner with Crosswinds by investing in the spiritual formation of your children. Parents/Guardians must be present, as FamX is a “no drop-off” zone.

Come Serve With Us!

Having kid’s ministry for all three of our services takes a lot of people serving and we are always looking for more. If you’re interested in serving in our kid’s ministry, please click the button below.
