Crosswinds is planning to send two teams to Children’s Nest Orphanage in August of 2026. We are continuing our partnership with PathWay Wesleyan in Penfield as we go forward. The purpose of these trips is to take God’s love into the orphanage and love the children. Nobody explains it better than Uncle Chuma, Children’s Nest Orphanage Director. Acts 1:8 (NLT) tells us, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
The 2026 teams are currently building. We are accepting applications for the upcoming trips if you feel the Holy Spirit is leading you to serve in short-term missions. Each trip will be 14 days, including travel time. We will spend 10 days at the orphanage. As you pray about this trip, you should be aware that it is physically demanding. If you plan to apply, you must be able to walk 2 miles on rough terrain, lift up to 50 pounds, and be prepared for 15 hours flights and long travel times. APPLY NOW.
