Crosswinds is planning to send two teams to Children’s Nest Orphanage in August of 2026.  We are continuing our partnership with PathWay Wesleyan in Penfield as we go forward. The purpose of these trips is to take God’s love into the orphanage and love the children.  Nobody explains it better than Uncle Chuma, Children’s Nest Orphanage Director. Acts 1:8 (NLT) tells us, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

We invite you to learn more about Children’s Nest by visiting lulangilo.org. Their mission is to provide orphans with loving relationships and education so they can grow – intellectually, physically, and in their relationship with God and others.

Each team member is tasked with raising $3,500 to cover the cost of the trip.  This includes travel expenses, international visas and travel insurance, lodging, meals, emergency funds, etc.  Online fundraising will begin in January, 2026.  You can donate to the team at any time by check, payable to Crosswinds Church.  Please note “Zambia 2026” on the memo line, and send it to the church to the attention of Missions Pastor, Wendy Emerson.
