Crosswinds Administrative Assistant, Part-Time Position
(Approx. 30 hrs/week)

Job Summary:

Crosswinds’ Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the church. This individual must be highly organized, adaptable, and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. They should exhibit a caring and Christ-centered attitude while assisting church staff, volunteers, and members of the congregation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the church staff, including pastors and ministry leaders.
  • Manage church communications, including emails, phone calls, and other general correspondence.
  • Maintain church schedules and databases (membership, event planning, new guests, etc.).
  • Coordinate church events, meetings, and activities by handling logistics and scheduling.
  • In conjunction with the Office Manager, oversee office supplies and ensure the office runs smoothly and has proper coverage.
  • Greet and assist visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Support ministry leaders with administrative tasks, scheduling, working with ministry partners, and special projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A committed Christian with a strong faith and active church involvement.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, church management and database software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Teachable, adaptable, and willing to learn new skills as needed.
  • A caring and compassionate attitude when assisting church members and visitors.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma required; Additional education and training helpful.
  • Previous experience in administrative or office management roles required, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting.

Work Environment:

  • The role requires flexibility and may include occasional evening or weekend work for church events.
  • Must be comfortable working in a faith-based setting and supporting the mission and values of the church.
